It's a family-oriented "green" idea... provide residents of Palmetto Bay with a safe place to get around town without a car.
In yet another wonderful improvement project for Palmetto Bay, the Village and Mayor Eugene Flinn are taking advantage of funding from a nationwide Safe Routes to Schools program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The goal is to clear, repair or extend our grid of sidewalks and paths to allow for easy pedestrian and cycle commuting, particularly to and from our schools.

As one who has two kids and runs to keep fit, I cheer on this initiative and look forward to it bringing lots of value to the Village.
