Holiday Wishes for the Real Estate Market

With Thanksgiving behind us and the winter holidays coming soon (yes, that's a real intersection in Cutler Bay, FL), I'd like to wish you and your family a happy holiday season! And knowing that every year between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day is a slow period for real estate, I have the following thoughts on the market.

Even though it is the slow season for real estate, it doesn't mean business doesn't get done during this time. In fact, there are always Buyers that need to buy and Sellers that are ready to sell. As a Realtor®, I work just as hard during these months as the rest of the year to help dreams come true.

I do believe that this seasonal slowdown will be more pronounced. With our COVID-19 hangover, interest rate concerns, inflation and global events, we are all fatigued. Moreover, we have uncertainty about the near future. This always tightens purse strings. So, perhaps will will see an additional 40% lower rate of closed transactions and lower sales prices.

So, don't get caught 'sleeping at the wheel'. If you want or need to move, do it now. The future is uncertain and move twists and turns are ahead. Capitalize today to eliminate any nasty surprises.
