Miami Ironman Triathlon Affects Streets in Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay & Cutler Bay This Saturday

The Miami Ironman Triathlon will wind its way through the streets of several Miami-Dade County communities on Oct. 30.  The inaugural event – dubbed the "Rohto Ironman 70.3 Miami" and consisting of a 1.2- mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1- mile run – is expected to draw a capacity of 2,500 athletes to participate. 

The Bicycle portion will run in and around several Villages starting at 7am and running until about 1pm.

Pinecrest reports the following streets will be affected:
SW 88 Street westbound lane from SW 57 Avenue to SW 67 Avenue
SW 67 Avenue southbound lane to SW 120 Street
SW 120 Street westbound lane to SW 82 Avenue
SW 82 Avenue southbound lane to exit out of the Village at SW 136 Street
Old Cutler/SW 57 Avenue northbound lane to exit into Coral Gables   (So there is still one lane open for cars, but you can only go one way)

Palmetto Bay says:

Be prepared for road delays as the bicycle leg of the Rohto Ironman 70.3 rides through Palmetto Bay on Saturday (Oct. 30) until about 1 p.m. See the Ironman website for more information: http://ironmanmiami.com/?p=10.

Cutler Bay traffic may be affected between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.  We ask for your cooperation and understanding on race day as you travel around town.  We appreciate your support; ask that you proceed with caution, and allow for additional traffic time to your destination.
