We've all seen it coming, the transformation of the Kmart has taken many months. This weekend the corner of US-1 and SW 104th Street should be busy as the new Target opens its doors. I got a sneak peek inside...

I caught up with Executive Team Leader for HR Diana Garcia who told me that the official Grand Opening starts this Sunday at 8AM (Oct 13), but there is a soft opening for friends and family Saturday starting at 8AM.

As I toured the store, there were more than 100 people lining shelves with merchandise, shining the floors and turning the screws to get things just right for the big weekend.

As a treat, Target treated all the workers to a Kona Ice for their hard work. The Kona Ice truck is owned and operated by a Pinecrest couple Robyn and Robert Martinez.

So, get ready for some clean isles and fresh deals. I'll see you out there for some shopping...
