With tons of cooperation between several entities, Panthers Field has been significantly improved. “The area between 2nd and shortstop has been leveled, making the field safer for everyone,” explained Panther’s Head Coach Danny Smith.
“The Village of Palmetto Bay paid for that, dugout changes, new fencing and tarps for the dugouts. The team added a sprinkler system and padding for the new dugouts.”
It is now believed Panthers Field in Coral Reef park is one of the best baseball fields in all of Dade County. “We’re not stopping there either.” Coach Smith went on to say they would like to see a scoreboard and locker rooms added.
