You Know You Live In A Great Village When...

This morning, I once again became filled with pride as I finished my run and glanced across SW 152nd Street to see a couple picking up garbage as they took their morning stroll.

Taken by the fact that someone would take a bag along with them as they took their walk with the intent of keeping Palmetto Bay a little cleaner really resonated with me.  My reaction?  I clapped (which caught their attention) and simply said "Thank you!"

Pride in Palmetto Bay is everywhere.  We are proud of the new Village Hall, we are proud of the fiscal responsibility, we are proud of the annual picnic, and now I am proud our community even picks up for others.  Way to go Palmetto Bay!
